CCC Engineering was engaged to deliver mechanical and fire protection design for a new two- storey boarding house development at 227 Blacktown Road, Seven Hills. The 400m² Class 3 residential building comprises 12 rooms with on-grade parking and storage on a constrained brownfield site. The client required a compliant, cost-effective services solution to secure a Construction Certificate under the NSW Design & Building Practitioners Act 2020.
Our Role
- was to provide detailed, coordinated designs that enabled competitive tendering and
- smooth progression into construction, while meeting NCC 2022 and relevant Australian Standards.
- OUR ROLE
- CCC Engineering delivered a staged electrical design service including:
- Single-stage detailed design for mechanical and fire protection services
- Heat load calculations and system selection
- Natural ventilation and mechanical exhaust design (kitchen, toilet, garbage room)
- Comfort air conditioning design for residential rooms
- Smoke detection, occupant warning system, hose reels and portable extinguishers
- Liaison with BCA consultant, Fire Engineer and Level 3 ASP
- Construction Certificate documentation and Design Certification
- Equipment schedules, scope of works and tender support
