Project Snapshot

Spacers engaged CCC Engineering to deliver hydraulic services design for a new low-rise Class 2 dual dwelling at 242A Old South Head Road, Vaucluse. The scope covered sanitary plumbing and drainage, cold and hot water reticulation, a rainwater re-use and filtration system, and gas services, all suitable for Construction Certificate submission.

As the development falls under a Class 2 classification, the hydraulic package is regulated under the Design and Building Practitioners Act 2020. CCC delivered regulated designs with the appropriate signatories so the builder could lodge through the NSW Planning Portal without delay.

Solution

Integrated the re-use and filtration system into the hydraulic package across all levels, coordinated with the architectural layouts and Level 3 ASP where required

Challenge

Builder working to a tight program, requiring detailed design issue in a single stage to support CC submission

Solution

Delivered the full four-level hydraulic documentation set in a single detailed design issue within the agreed program

Results

  • Full hydraulic documentation set across all four levels
  • Rainwater re-use and filtration integrated with potable systems
  • Regulated designs lodged under D&BP Act 2020
  • Design Certificate to AS 3500-2021
