A beverage manufacturer fitted out food production rooms inside an existing Class 8 factory. The works covered bottling, batching, warehouse and loading areas under a Complying Development Certificate.
CCC Engineering delivered hydraulic, electrical and fire protection design. Construction issue drawings were issued in May 2026, followed by a fire services endorsement.
The governing issue was the existing fire hose reels, installed to an older Ordinance 70 specification. A coverage check showed they still meet current coverage, so an endorsed objection avoided a hose reel upgrade.
Our Role
- Backflow protection with two reduced pressure zone devices (AS/NZS 3500.1:2021)
- Cold and hot water reticulation with an 18 kW instantaneous electric water heater
- Pump-out sanitary drainage for new production sinks
- Exit and emergency lighting layout to NCC 2022 Part E4
- Fire extinguisher layouts (AS 2444-2001)
- Fire hose reel coverage checks on every level (AS 2441-2005)
- Fire services endorsement by an accredited practitioner

Connected new water services to the existing copper supply and pumped sink waste to sewer.
