Atomic Spin Laundromat engaged CCC Engineering to deliver mechanical services design for a new retail laundromat fitout within an existing mixed-use development in Erskineville. Located within a Class 6 retail tenancy forming part of a broader Class 2 and 7b building, the project required carefully coordinated ventilation and dryer exhaust systems to achieve regulatory compliance and operational performance. The primary objective was to obtain a Complying Development Certificate (CDC) while delivering a practical, cost-effective solution suited to a high-moisture, high-heat environment.
Our Role
- CCC Engineering delivered a staged electrical design service including:
- Review of architectural and structural documentation
- Design of outside air ventilation systems
- Design of commercial dryer exhaust systems
- Equipment selection and plant scheduling
- Mechanical layouts and ventilation schematics
- Scope of Works documentation for tender
- Liaison with BCA consultant
- Design certification to NCC 2022 and AS 1668
